Can only eating vegetables help you lose weight healthily?

Vegetables are a great source of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients

but on their own, one will be lacking deficiency in other nutrients. For example healthy fat, which can help your body with vital functions such as making and renewing of cell membranes, regulating temperature, producing energy and reducing inflammation.

Also, the body requires healthy proteins to get all the amino acids your body needs to help build muscles and several repair functions. Nutrient deficiencies can lead to health problems such as dehydration, anemia, lethargy, muscle loss and poor bone health.

Complex carbohydrates are also necessary for energy, mental health, moods and behaviours and fibre for good digestive health.

All these and micronutrients contribute to a healthy body and effective weight management. There are no shortcuts.
