There is never a dull moment on our Wednesday walks! Every season brings along its own colours and moods. This Summer has been the most gorgeous with beautiful flowers, birds and a fairly long spell if dry weather, which means we have not needed to carry the umbrella or rain coat yet!
One of our highlights of our walks is meeting everyone and catching up each week and picking up a new recipe or two!
Yes that’s what it’s all about! Getting to know each other, developing the friendships, having a laugh and bonding with each other. Great community of likeminded people who just want a bit of exercise and a chat.

When we started the town centre walks back in March 2014,, the idea was to have 2 small groups. A fast group of largely workers who might want to get out for fresh air and a slow group of people of leisure. It’s interesting how things have developed. The slow group has become the fast group of people of leisure! As for the workers, we are yet to lure them into coming out for a break in their lunch time! A bit of fresh air can do a lot of good for productivity I believe.
We meet at 12.30pm at the Corn Market Hall every Wednesday, apart from Christmas holidays.
